Enphase IQ 7A Microinverter

Victron MultiPlus-II

The MultiPlus-II combines the functions of the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid.
It has all the features of the MultiPlus, plus an external current transformer option to implement PowerControl and PowerAssist and to optimize self-consumption with external current sensing (max. 32A). 
It also has all the features of the MultiGrid with built-in anti-islanding and an increasingly long list of country approvals.

Battery Systems

Solar systems with batteries can dramatically enhance flexibility and self-sustainability.

HOW SOLAR BATTERY SYSTEMS WORK:

The ‘grid’ is the name given to the electricity network that delivers power from generators (like the Clyde Dam) all the way to your home via pylons and power lines.

Solar battery systems are pretty much essential for ‘off-grid’ systems, where there is no back-up from the grid when your panels aren’t generation. However, they are also used in many ‘grid-tied’ systems, where some people even charge their batteries from the grid during their ‘free hour of power’.

Battery systems are becoming increasingly popular in New Zealand as their costs have come down considerably in recent years.

Enphase IQ Battery 5P

The Enphase IQ Battery 5P all-in-one AC-coupled storage system is the most powerful battery yet from Enphase. 

It has a total usable energy capacity of 5.0 kWh and includes six embedded grid-forming microinverters with 3.84 kW power rating, including peak output power of 7.68 kVA for 3 seconds and 6.14 kVA for 10 seconds.

It provides backup capability and installers can quickly design the right system size to meet the needs of both new and retrofit solar customers.

BYD HVM and HVS

Getting EV Chargers installed

EV chargers can be integrated into ‘grid-tied’ and ‘off-grid’ solar systems. This can be done at the time of install, or any time later. That said, there are time and cost savings to be made by setting up your EV charger at the time you install your solar system.
